FURNACE PROTECTION PLAN

 

IF YOUR FURNACE FAILS TO START

1. Raise your thermostat to 10 degrees above current room temperature

2. Make sure the main power switch is on

3. Check that fuses or breakers are working

4. Press the red reset button ONCE; usually found on the burner or flue pipe

5. If you hear a hum from the burner and the motor has not started press the button on the oil burner motor

We will provide an annual conditioning including cleaning and inspection of the furnace to ensure safe, proper performance. It is the responsibility of the Customer to ensure that this annual conditioning is scheduled each spring. This work is to be done during normal working hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Fiday. We will provide emergency service as required. Air conditioner calls are not covered. Boiler coverage relates only to the oil burner. W.O.Stinson & Son Ltd. warrants that all services provided under this plan will be performed in a skilled and workmanlike manner in accordance with applicable Codes. We retain the right to determine whether any parts shall be repaired or replaced for the proper, safe and efficient operation of the unit, and whether a new or rebuilt part will be used.

Service not covered by this plan will be charged at our hourly rate per call, parts extra, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Fiday. Service after hours, Saturday, Sunday, and Statutory Holidays will be charged at special off peak rates. The difference in cost of a fan motor of greater capacity than above will be charger to your account. We reserve the right to charge our usual hourly rate for travel time to homes more than 50km. for our office locations. We will not cover any change, replacement, upgrade or repair required by Municipal, Provincial or Federal bylaw or statute.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS___________________________________________________________


We reserve the right to have the heating equipment inspected by our representative within 30 days of this application to determine that the furnace is insurable.

We are not responsible for any damage, parts or service required due to flood, fire, tampering, acts of God, leaking oil tanks, furnace failure while the house is vacant, impassable roads or any other cause whether or not of like nature beyond W.O.Stinson & Son Ltd. reasonable control.

The Customer shall notify W.O.Stinson & Son Ltd. immediately for any service to or alteration of the unit not done by our service department, any malfunction of the unit and any user of heating oil other than that delivered by W.O.Stinson & Son Ltd.

The obligations of W.O.Stinson & Son Ltd. cease when heating oil for the furnace is not purchased from us.

This plan is automatically renewable annually at the annual rate set by W.O.Stinson & Son Ltd. and is subject to change.

Either W.O.Stinson & Son Ltd. or the Customer may cancel this plan by giving the other party thirty days written notice. Premiums paid are not refundable.

This plan cancels and supersedes all previous agreements.
